"So what is boudoir photography?"
Boudoir Photography is a form of studio or on-location work that produces
photo's one would like to have for a sweetheart or husband that portray your
femininity to it's fullest . The final photographs can be blown-up
into 8 x 10's or even larger. In a majority of cases, we try and stress
the selection of one photo and having that picture expanded into a
"sofa-sized" framed work of art. Once you have seen a large
framed portrait of yourself, you will realize what a beautiful subject you
are. And you are that beautiful right now.
In some circles, Boudoir is thought of as one subject (female) in a revealing
form of lingerie. While this is only
partially correct, Boudoir has many forms. Photo's using sheets, gauze
or sheer material in strategic places and alternate forms of lighting and
shadows can provide a striking form of boudoir that exudes a type of raw
sexuality and elicits admiration of the
model.
Some of the photography work is designed to
bring out the desire to see more... and yet there is no more, just
the tantalizing thought that there is. To
better illustrate... a teddy is nice, but positioned correctly
revealing skin, that should normally be covered, is very
“cheesecake” and can be very sensuous. The picture leaves the viewer
wanting more. Cleavage, whether developed (as in using ones arms or
hands to enhance) or positional (as in lying on a bed allowing pillows or some
other items to provide the "push") can be a very big turn on and
very appealing, depending on the position of the camera.
The same can be said for legs, buttocks, arms and torso.
The images I try to create in this type of photo session resemble those found
in major magazines, like Maxim, Allure or Cosmopolitan
