"What's involved in a typical boudoir photo shoot?"

A typical PPP photography session starts with a brief Q&A.  As your photographer, I try and get a feel for what it is you would like to see in the pictures we will take together.  At times, I will try example posing suggestions to elicit a response.  This tells me what we will be able to do to make the session a success.  (Don't worry, I always have a myriad of suggestions for poses, clothing and props that can make you look good.)

We will also discuss your selection of clothing that you would like this session to be taken in.  Some color selections will require different background or backdrop changes.  For example;  If you want to wear a sleek black evening gown, a black backdrop will not do.  Together we will compile a list of outfits and color selections for the session.

Trust me when I tell you that you're not the first person that may feel a bit nervous when we start to shoot pictures.  That is why, our first series of photo's (8 to 10 pictures) are mostly photo's above shoulders using soft light.  These are what I call "Picture Book Page One's".  All of your photo's are returned to you in a PPP picture or photo book package, and one of these "Picture Book Page One's" will be an 8 x 10 photograph suitable for framing.  PPP also provides you with a rose or in-season flower as a prop to help make the session more memorable.

As the shoot progresses, with background, lighting and clothing changes, you will feel more comfortable.  In some cases, our models become more and more uninhibited and the pictures we take together become fun, lifelike and very spontaneous.  You might decide that this is pretty fun and it makes you feel so very alive.   If that's the case, then we have accomplished one of our main objective's of making your photographs as real and timeless as they should be.
